Hi everyone I recently upgraded to a marineland 300 dd tank the dimensions are 72"l x 36"w x27"h .I have two thick center braces .I wanna go with the kessil a360 I'm not sure if I should go with the n or w version .I will be mostly stocking the tank with sps and some lps .what would u recommend me going with ? Also how many I was thinking 6 units of the a360n ..what is the actual spread on the n beam and w beam ? How high off the tank would they need to be hung ?

Kessil has amazing customer service. I actually called them today asking very similar questions concerning my new build. Extremely helpful. The w has a 70 degree spread. Didn't ask about the n

With that deep of a tank you will want the narrow. 6 would be ideal. They are generally mounted about a foot over the water.

I don't think you would be happy with the coverage with 4 and you would be limited in coral placement. There will be significant shadowing. 8 would only be necessary if you wanted to be growing SPS on every square inch of the sandbed.

Yeah I have a a350w on a frag tank right now and I threw it on the 300 gallon just tp see how it would look and I gotta say I probally could go with 3 w versions if my tank wasn't so wide it pretty much cobered a 24x24square .but I love sps so I def will go with 6 I just wasn't sure to do narrow or wide
