I don't quite understand what all it going on there, but it looks like a very nice drain tank with a shut off valve. It looks much better than my 1 gallon Arizona Tea container with a shut off valve zip tied in place, but it does work.

He has carbon for odor control a float valve for shutoff and overflow control and I like it. Nothing ingenious just nice and props from me to him. It shows how to take a skimmer and make it just that much nicer.

It's a very neat setup.

Thanks brother, I am very humbled for the kind words. I try to keep it simple and neat, and so far it is working. If you notice a black box with a red dot and clear tube going to it at the bottom left corner of the pic, that is a UAS (upflow algae scrubber) that I made out of jewelers trays, led lights, magnets, and a bubble wand. I use a simple little Whisper 10 pump to drive it, and I have to use the valve on it to turn it down. Now the wait to see how it turns out.

I've toy'd with the idea of an ats. Post results when you can.
