I have an 85 gallon reef tank, I seem to have acquired dust like particles floating at the top of my tank. Running two fluval 305 can filters , that I just dismantled and cleaned. Particles were there before can cleaning and remain afterward. Any input regarding this matter would be greatly appreciated. I am a NOOB, and have only had tank for a week . Clown fish, puffer, file fish, angel fish, and two others that I'm not sure what they are appear to be healthy and eating well. Anonomes, sand sifter, feather duster , crabs, snails, and baby stars from Fiji appear to be good as well

not to sound pessimistic but these will probably all die. you will soon have an ammonia spike that will devistate all life in your tank.

now on to your question. this might be some filter media or dirt from the cannisters that werent rinsed prior to use.

During the move you may have disturbed something in the canisters or in the sand.. How long has it been there?
