My PH is steady at 8.0 and I know it needs to raise a little since I want coral in the future. Should I do anything?

8 is good. It will go up and down throughout the day depending on lots of factors. Light being a big one.

DOn't worry about ph with a reef, under normal circumstances: check alkalinity. That's far more reliable a guide about the stability and appropriateness of your water conditions.

As said don't worry too much about ph unless it gets really low. 8 is totally fine
