More than one media in a reactor

Anyone ever put more than one media in a single reactor? GFO & carbon or nitrate remover & carbon or GFO & nitrate remover? I have 2 reactors but want to use 3 media for a while ...

I use carbon and gfo in one with a foam disk seperating the two,gfo on top of course.Depends on the media too for instance i wouldnt mix purigen with anything,certain things render it nonregenerateable(thats a word right).
