Currently I have 2 Evolution Gen 1 fixtures and am looking to supplement with T5's to get full spectrum for more coral colors to pop. The Gen 1 fixtures are ONLY blue and white, there is no red, green, etc. I have a 120G, SPS, LPS, etc.

What would be the best choice for quantity of T5's? I am thinking 2 x 2bulb strips at the front and back with the LED fixtures in the middle.

Would T5 suffice or shall I go T5HO? Don't want to go overkill though as the LED's are not dimmable.

What would be the best choice of bulb combination to achieve full spectrum? I intend the look to be on the side of blue, but definitely not full blue.

I have a 120 gal also. I have canopy and inside are 2 AI Sols and a T5 retrofit with Blue+ and Purple+. I only got the tank recently so I can't speak for coral growth. However, the tank looks much brighter and "fuller" with that combo.

Any details on the retrofit? Brand, bulb brand, etc? Also T5 or T5HO?

It's a Nove Extreme T5HO retrofit kit. 2 48-inch bulbs with ATI Purple+ and Blue+.
