Cycle wrapping up

Week 3 coming to an end. Amm, Nitrites, Phosphates are 0, Nitrates are around 50. I am going to leave the lights off and test in a week and a half and see if those Nitrates come down:).

is that black sand? what did you cycle with, just curious. I am helping out a buddy get started and he wanted to start with bottled bacteria. I have always started with dead shrimp and a few live rocks.

Yes, it's the Hawaiian Black, it has white in it also. I started my cycle with 120 pounts of BRS dry rock 20 pounts of live rock from my 28 gallon and 2 cups of sand from my 28. I put 2 live rocks in the DT and the rest in my sump.
