Coralvue 660 worth the price

I am looking at using T5's for supplemental lighting to 400W MH. Are the Coralvue 660 ballasts worth the extra 75-100$ each? Just curious if anyone thinks that they are worth that much more and what is a good brand besides Coralvue. I haven't messed around with T5's so I know nothing about them. Thanks.

Skip the 660 for T5, it will over drive them, make then run too hot and shorten their life. Go with the LET retro T5 from ReefGeek.com, it is a correct T5 ballast and reflector.

With the 660 you are limited to T5 VHO UVL lamps so instead of having a 4' 54w you will have a 80w lamp, unless that is what you want?
