I have a salinity probe that drifts down and then jumps up. Any Idea what the problem is and how to fix it. Thanks.

I can't read what your swings/jumps are. My condx probe moves by as much as 1.5 pts in an hour. I really rely on it for trends in salinity rather than accuracy.

It just started doing this on the 11th before it was stable not much of a change threw out the day. but now it changes with the large jumps.

It appears you might have air getting into your probe and then releasing as a bubble. Try the following.
Have the Conductivity Probe Located in FAST moving Current (like in the sump)
Keep the probe at a 30-45 degree angle with the opening for the inners of the probe facing upwards therefore able to escape air bubbles)
Re-Calibrate the probe (correctly)

As a side note, you are probably using your PM2 module for salinity? Did you take your temperature probe out of the brain and plug it into your PM2 module so the salinity could use it? If not, disregard and if you did, then you need to set your temp compensation factor to 2.0.
it will look and read funny for a bit, but it will calm down.

question on this - if you remove your temp probe from the brain - wont you lose the pH temperture compensation?

It was an air bubble. Got that fixed. thanks for the info on placing it at an angle. Temp is still in the brain. Maybe I will order another temp probe for it.
