I have a 75 gallon tank and i was hoping to add some SPS's in the near future. Will 1 Vortex MP40 provide enough flow to keep my acro's happy?

What other pumps are you running in the tank for flow? You would be better off with two MP-10s than one MP-40 although two MP-40's would be quieter. Using two MP's instead of one gives you a lot of options for wave making and countercurrents. Two MP-10's at near 100% would give you 40 times your tank size in flow but MPs tend to get noisy when close to 100% so 2 MP-40's would be ideal.

it would be fine, just make sure you dial in the flow with your mp40 else you'll have frags flying around your tank :P

I run 2 MP40's on my 75g sps tank. They are sync'd and are set to a max speed of either 8/12 or 9/12. I'm happy with the noise and flow at these settings, and so are my corals and fish!

you should be fine with the mp40 maybe down the road get the mp10 for the frags and keep the larger more stable acro in the mp40's path ..
