I set up a 29g QT to treat one of my fish that has ich. I also want to do things right from now on so this will be a permanent qt tank. I filled with all saltwater and added dr. Tim's one and only at the advice of my lfs. I did not want to use any filter media from my Display tank as it is infected. Can I put my afflicted fish in the qt tank and start treatment or should I wait until I can get my hands on some ammonia fighting product. I am unsure of how the one and only works. It just says that you can add fish immediately buy I don't know about all that nonsense.

Well first, you have to treat all the fish in your infected DT for it to do any good. Do you just have one fish in there?

Also, I'm guessing Dr. Tim's is bacteria in the bottle stuff. How do you plan on harboring that bacteria once it's in the QT? Meaning, what do you plan on using for biological filtration?
