hello fellow ocean lovers. i am sure most of you agree doubt takes over when purchasing lights for a reef tank. i have a cycled 10 gallon ready for soft corals like gorgonians, maybe even some sponge. what lights are advisable for such a setup? PAR30? microsun high output daylight and blue light 16 watt? im afraid 16 watt is not strong enough for this space. any suggestions? money is not an issue... some shop for clothes, i shop for an underwater garden.

1 par led bulb might work depending on rockwork and soft corals. 2 would better for full coverage, however that'd give you enough for a 20gal as well. Now that they are dimable this might be the way to go.

For my ten I went with a diy solution from rapid led. 10blues and 6 whites on two of the mini drivers. It seems to work.

I run a Rapidled Par38 on my 10g and it works good. Soft and lps grow well. The tank looks nice too. I never dimmed it. As far as coverage goes, I had to pull the optics plate off in order to get complete coverage.
