Woke up to my 6055 making a ton of racket this morning so I pulled it out and cleaned some algae off the front. Impeller came out along with the drive shaft and noticed a considerable amount of rust along the bottom of it. Attached some pics but not sure how clearly you can see the amount of rust.

I'm actually not even certain if that drive shaft is supposed to fall out?

Any expert opinions? I didn't get these too long ago so I'm surprised at the rust.

That should only be possible on a pump made June 2007 and judging from the pictures that does seem to be when it was made. The shaft cannot be replaced, starting July 2007 we switched to a much stronger alloy that I have never seen fail. If you bought it new less than 2 years ago it would still be under warranty.

Are there any options or is it trashed? Didn't get it 6 years ago but longer than 2 for sure.
