What is the difference between white and neutral? I know what color white is, but I've never heard anybody say neutral is a color?

I meant even mix of white and blue. Obviously I'm not trying to be scientific. I'm just curious to see what direction people are going now, especially with adjustable leds being so popular.

My tank's color varies quite a bit throughout the day. I have mostly actinics in the morning and evening. For the most part during the middle of the day my tank is relatively white. The nice thng about multi-color LED fixtures with built-in controllers is you can vary the look throughout the day and transition softly from one color to another more naturally.

I just changed my lights to 55% whites and 100% blue today and its looking good.

My tank is clear... its made of acrylic after all. When i get lazy it gets dusty brown and scaly pink/white/green.

Mine is this color, depending which bulb and ballast combination I am running. Add to that 150 watts of VHO Superactintic, to whichever bulb you chose. :D

My tank (it's a stock tank right now, but let's not get picky) starts at 10k in the morning, moves to somewhere around 12k midday, and then finishes up at 20k (ish) in the evening.

I like either pure actinic or "neutral" on the white side.

Right now I have two T-5 Actinics and two daylights. When I replace the bulbs I'm thinking of going three Actinics and one daylight.
