I don't use anything other than bacteria that may be on LR on the system. Of course I don't keep a large fish population, as a result don't feed as much.

Do you have pics of your setup? I have about 650g setup that I have been fighting nitrates for a while. Thought of trying a sulphur reactor but not 100% sure yet...

I have puffers that keep my nitrates around 50. Ive tried all the suggestions without avail. Biopellets were one of the biggest flops but I did see some change with vodka. I just dont have a dosing system so it just became a PITA. I would try vodka though and see what it does for you. It was able to drop one of my tanks down to 0 from 30+ at one point.

I used the Koralin Sulfur reactor and it helped with my 125 and 90 gallon, haven't tried it on something that big.

I am using Midwest Sulfur denitrator on 450g system. It takes about 3 months to get the nitrate level from initial of 100ppm to current 0ppm.

I am going to add mangroves to the setup.

I have a experimental sulphur de-nitrator I have messed with but having an issue with the pump for it.
