Hey guys,

As above, im changing from a MaxSpect G2 170w to a Razor 27" 160w.

Tank is 48x24x14, will hang the razor high up to cover up to 48" and even if it cant cover its alright i don't grow any thing on both side.

i currently run my g2 on this schedule :
1330 - 0030 = 20 royal blue leds
1400 - 0000 = 22 RB + 8 CW + 8 violets
1600 - 2200 = 22RB + 26CW + 8 vIolets (Full power during this 6 hours)

I only run full power for 6 hours since my tank is very shallow, i hang this g2 at 10" above my water level and get good 48x24" coverage.

I have a mixed reef with SPS generally clustered around the middle.

I'll be getting my razor 27" next week. how many % on channel A & B should i start? i prefer a more blueish look to my tank.. i know i should start low and ramp up 5% weekly.

Thanks in advance!

When I changed my lights I was just going to start low and move up and look for corals reaction. I couldn't bring myself to do it so I bought a par meter. I know they aren't the cheapest thing but honestly I thought this would be a 1 time use and it isn't. Any time I buy a new coral or if I ever rearrange my tank I will use this. Not to mention I was using to read par levels all the way up to what % I wanted my lights on.

If you cannot buy one I would highly recommend seeing if you can borrow one
