So, I want a skimmer but have a huge problem! My sump is sooo small that most skimmers will not fit in there. I do have some (very minimal) room outside the sump to put a skimmer but I have no idea how to do it. I have heard some amazing things about the Reef Octopus skimmers, and I really want one but I am unsure of how to accomplish that! :)

well, how small is small? I know that some skimmers have the pump built in under the skimmer which saves a TON of room. For instance, my SRO5000sss takes up MUCH less space than the regular -int version. Also, several others have the same concept. How big is the protein skimmer space you have to work with?

6"X6" inside the sump. Outside the sump, i would have a bit more. Are there any Reef Octopus models that would go external?

Throw a hob skimmer on your sump.

I don't have a sump, Can I add a skimmer still(I don't know anything about them)?

You don't have to deal with a hang-on-back skimmer.
Tunze DOC skimmers are very skinny and great performers, although they are not well known. I think the DOC 9006 would be great for you. It's footprint is about 4.5" x 5" and rated for up to 130 gallons or so.

Yes you can get one that hangs in your tank.
