I have a 10g nano tank with 2 10 watt (total of 20 watts) 50/50 mini compact fluorescent bulbs.
The bulbs are Zoo med Reef Sun bulbs and says that they are a combination of 6500K trichromatic daylight phosphor and actinic 420 phosphor.
According to the packaging these should be sufficient for a reef tank, but I am being told by someone that they are not and though that I should ask on here.

The only corals that I want are soft corals. I currently have 2 mushrooms that look very happy and are rapidly growing. I also want to get zoanthids, star polyps, and a duncan coral. Would these 2 bulbs be sufficient?

Any answers? I just ordered a 3-led truelumen actinic light to add to these lights. I also bought a dimmer in case it was too much. What would these in addition to my 50/50 bulbs allow me to keep?

None of the things you want to keep require a terribly great deal of lighting. Try the star polyps and zoas first and if they do good then try a duncan.
