Furan 2 and Marine Velvet

Quick question, could you use Furan 2 to treat MV in a QT? I know copper works 100% but wondering on Furan 2.

No, it won't work at all. Velvet is a protozoan parasite and Furan is an antibiotic. When (if) the velvet is cured, you may want to use the Furan, velvet can result in secondary infections. Copper is the only way I know to kill velvet and velvet must be completely wiped out; its a very deadly, contagious, and fast acting parasite. All fish, not just those showing symptoms, must be treated ASAP and your DT left fishless for about 8 weeks. There is no other way, that I know of. There a couple of quinine drugs that as supposed to work, but they're hard to find and I've never used them.
