I'm not sure if the title makes sense but does the aqua lifter have an anti siphon built into it? I bought it with the JBJ ATO. Ill be on vacation for 7 days so I wanted to make sure.

It will siphon, happened to me last night.

Mine would start a siphon as well. I made sure that the output was higher than maximum level of my make up water. Not much higher or the output would vary significantly as the height lowered.

Be sure to have it running for a while before vacation so that there are no surprises :O

It will siphon, happened to me last night.

So should I just clip the tube higher above the tank?

odd you say this now. I was just having the same problem tonight.. I just used a spare piece of acrylic and placed the output side higher than my ATO jug and low and behold no problems:headwallblue:

Yes, clip (secure) it higher than the ATO container level. No problems that way. The amount dispensed may vary depending if the ATO jug is full or almost empty. Only matters if using a straight timer.

Thanks guys. Also can the output tube be in the water?

I would not have the output under water, it can actually siphon backwards pulling tank water back into your ato container, ask me how I know this
