Can a marineland 27 gallon cube tank be drilled on the sides?

The bottom is tempered. The sides are not.

Thanks for the response guys I talked to the manufacturer of the tank I originally had (25 cube) and it turns out its not tempered on the sides. So I'll keep that one and no need for the marineland cube
