So, I'm thinking of adding a dsb in my sump and the only area i have is in the middle section of my sump which houses by skimmer and bio pellet reactor. Both are on platforms that keep them approx 5 inches off the bottom so I have room to put a 4 inches dsb.

My questions are:

1. is that a good place to put it which the skimmer and bp reactor?

2. should i consider putting the dsb in my overflow instead?

I apprec the help.236092

if you have a good skimmer, pellet rx, and GAC rx, then I suggest you omit the idea of a DSB. they are nutrient sinks and can potentially cause issues
if your power goes out.

I have a deltec skimmer and reef dynamics biopellet reactor. No GAC.

I was hoping the bp reactor would take care of my hair algae but its not completely. PO possibly leaching from my rock. I'm going to test my Phosphate tomorrow.

The last thing you want to get is dietrus to get in the pump especially a Aquabee pump.

I'm considering putting the dsb in my overflow.

Then the sand would get stirred up and defeat the purpose of the DSB, could you put a remote DSB in.
