radion coverage

hey guys i have a 40 breeder that im in the middle of building. If i hang a radion about 12" away from the water and bumped up the intensity, would i get enough coverage for a two island aquascape? I won't really need the sides to be covered too much, i just dont want a tapered lighting look.

the tank is 36x18
