Is a 105 gallon too small? Found a great deal on one but not sure about tank size and all the websites say different things.
When it comes to tangs and tank sizes, I use this site for a resource, they arent trying to sell you anything, so they have no reason to lie
They recommend a 100 Gallon that is 5 feet long

Thanks
These guys have done the research, have the experience and have nothing to gain from you listening to them. To me that sounds like trustworthy information

Agreed. I wonder if the 5' min can be flexible if there is a lot of area for them in the tank. I have 2 islands with plenty of room on all sides for swimming.

You know that a Chevron is beautiful when small, but rather drab as an adult?

Yes I know it changes colors. I wouldn't call it "drab". I like them as an adult as well.

I think the babies are awesome but the adults very sexy...I saw an adult in person and thought...wow that's a really classy looking fish. Then saw the price and what it was and said well...its still classy but not at that price lol

Completely agree, one of the nicest looking fish when juvenile and kind of boring when older

Know what you mean but I have a chance to get one for a 1/3 the cost of retail.

Maybe boring is not the right word, but lack of excitement IMO, All that matters is that you like him though. Everyone has their on opinion in what is attractive to their eye

I doubt most people have seen a fully colored adult in person. They are stunning!!

I guess I haven't either. The larger ones I have seen are a non spectacular brownish color. Maybe that is a transitional color? I have not seen any that look like the picture above.

Same as me, the picture looks nice, still not great in my opinion but I have never seen one that looks like that either
