Hey guys! Finally finished my build. Bought myself a early birthday present a couple weeks ago. 26 Gallon Leemar tank from Aquatic Empires, thanks Dennis! Got all the bulk heads, added some stuff to my old 40 gallon breeder stand my dad and I built and touched it up. It's a lovely 3 feet tall. I hate having to bend and look at my tanks so I made sure it was nice and tall.

After doing a bit of research, and as much as I love and will always stand by my Kessil A150W Ocean Blue, I decided to try the Maxspect Razor Nano 16,000k 60w LED light. Came in just yesterday. Currently using just the programmed timing that it comes preset with and I think I'll be happy with just that I think. I also have a Current Single 150w MH sitting over my refuge. Too much light for chaeto and all that?

As for sump, I was looking for a 20 gallon long whether it was plain or already done. Guy who surfs the forums offered me one for a very nice price. Turns out to be a 30 gallon sump (so my sump is 4 gallons bigger than my tank . I'm running my Eshopps PSK-75 Skimmer from my Nuvo for now. Comes with the 3 baffle bubble trap, a 17 gallon refuge, and then obviously the return area. In the fuge, I've got all the rock from my 24 gallon NanoCube which is FULL of bristle worms. Hope that won't be a problem with pods down there. Also, is there ever "too much" live rock in the fuge? It's bottomless as well as a power head down there mixing it all around.

Future plans, make it an SPS dominated tank. Though what my girlfriend and I are wondering, would the SPS look clash with the Tukani Live Rock? It looks like dead coral skeleton so hoping it doesn't clash looks.

looks good. the MH for the sump is way overkill and will add heat to your system, especially with being enclosed in the stand. you can get away with using a home depot clip on lamp and a CFL bulb or a more purpose built LED fuge light. i like the razor nano but i cant help but think you may need more light if you are going to have SPS in your tank. i do like the tank, what are the dimensions?

Yeah I assumed the MH would be way to much light. But thought what the hell lol. As for my light, you think so? I mean it gets pretty bright and my SPS would be sitting up higher. Still think it's a problem? If so, maybe I'll just try a few frags out. If all doesn't so well I'll go to LPS and softies

Nice starting setup! If that Led is not bright enough that MH on your sump might work on the display.

Yeah but I bought the razor specifically for the DT! I love the pop it gives. Unlike the MH which gives off a dull color

Some updates. Bought quite a few pieces of some SPS frags and one small colony

I like the look of the tank quite a bit. With the rocks going up so high it makes the tank look really open.

Thank you. My LFS had Tukani Rock for $4 a pound. Love the look of the rock so I got got it! My GF did the scape. I wasn't crazy about it, but it definitely grew on me.

Are you using the metal halide still for your sump? If so, I'm curious how hot your temp gets.

Well the day after I setup my tank, my AC in the house went out... I live in vegas.... It reaches 110 by noon lol. So the tank got to about 84-85 degrees. Obviously I turned it off. But the MH got the tank to about 80 or so. I'm sure if I put a little utility fan down there to cure that heat. But until then, I just have a desk lamp over it now for the chaeto.

I'm having fun with this tank. I love it so much, I often find myself even staring at the fuge lol.
But I got this picture tonight. Bought my dad a Birdsnest which was a nice size for Fathers Day, but now he's trading me for an led haha. So I got it. Looks **** good too! (It's the far big one on the right)

What's your opinions on adding Zoanthids to a SPS tank?

New update. Moved all my zoas over from my nuvo 38. Also bought a nice rock from my LFS with mixed zoas. Looks nice I think!

Beautiful start to a new tank. You make it look easy!

This setup is super simple. Over flow goes straight down where it drawings with the protein skimmer, then back up after it goes thru the baffles and fuge. Hands down the most simple setup I've ever had lol

I like this tank! The scape is amazing, i may steal it when i upgrade my 29g to a 65. How are you liking the nano razor?

Hentz

Haha go for it man. I give credit to my lady for the scape! I like it. Nice and sleek and quiet as well. Seems strong. I have a few SPS bleaching from my previous tank that I moved in here. But every SPS I put in here from the start has polyps out and all.

Very nice setup you got going. Like the scape and jealous of your zoa garden, how long they been growing for? And yeah SPS will clash with your rock, go LPS, I'm not bias or anything :)

So I got a sweet deal on a nuvo 24 and jumped for it. The tank above is no longer running. I moved it all to the new nuvo! Maxspect Razor Nano is hung up high to cover the entire area of the tank.

I like what you did with the new tank. The arch under the rock work is sweet IMO.
