Hi all. So, I fragged some Paly's last night for the first time and glued them to plugs. This morning the Paly's are all open and looking fine. I have a few different types of mushrooms in the tank that all have mesenterail filaments out. I tested my water today and here are my parameters

Salinity 1.0245 (refractometer)
Temp 79.9 (digital thermometer)
Alkalinity 8 (API- lower than normal, I usually run 10, so I am brining it up)
Ph 8 (API- will come up slightly with Alk)
Nitrites 0 (API)
Ammonia 0 (API)
Nitrates 5 (API)
Phosphates 0 (API)
Calcium 450
Running Kessil 350w lights at 75% blues, 25% whites

I have a feeling that the Paly's toxin triggered the defense mechanisms of the mushrooms. What should I do if anything? I did a water change on Sunday and can do another one but I have to get some water ready. I don't run filters, sumps, refugium, or protein skimmer. Should I float a bag of Carbon? Thanks in advance for any comments or suggestions

Carbon and water changes will help a bunch. Do the biggest wc you can and then just wait and see. mushrooms are very hard to kill, so they will most likely be just fine.

+1, water change and run some carbon for sure. Mushrooms are hardy, it is very unlikely they will die.
