Hi I recently started dosing brs 2 part. I notice when my alk drips via brs dosers it gets cloudy for a sec then the solution turns into flakes. As the flow takes it.

Is this normal? I dose where my return/skimmer is. It is not the highest flow area but best i can do.

I don't see any precipitation in my pumps or anything. I'm only dosing 28mls a day of alk of sodium bicarbonate? (Ph increasing one)
And about the same with with ca.

Alk steady at 8.3
Ca 420
Mg 1400
1.025 salinity

The cloudiness is normal. It's just a bit of magnesium hydroxide forming temporarily. It'll redissolve rapidly:

If you run a large filter sock for your return, I'd try dosing alk right into the sock. This is the highest flow area in my sump.

As long as you don't see precipitation on the sock, I think that's likely a fine idea.
