My tank is 32" x 20" x 28" and I've prepared rock walls by gluing rocks and rubble to plexiglass using gorilla glue.

I was planing to silicone the plexiglass onto the aquarium glass. But after gluing all the rocks in, it feels quite heavy, and now I'm no so sure if the glass can support the weight. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Thank you.

Lean your tank in this same position you have your walls right now. Spread your glue or silicone and don't miss an inch of glass with it, slide your wall in place let cure for 72 h, and then put your tank right side up, should be fine. Repeat for every side obviously . Nice job on the walls by the way.

What a great idea, which gorilla glue did you use?

I'm not actually concerned that the rock wall would fall off, but rather that the glass would break from supporting all those weight or that the tank would split. Would it be possible?

I'm using yhe regular gorilla glue.

I just made a rock wall for my 125 gallon. It is probably close to 60 lbs. I used egg-crate as the base and pond foam to attach the rock. I attached it with 3 large gobs of silicon on the back wall. It will never come off. I have no fear of it breaking the glass due to weight. Glass has a lot of strength up and down. Imagine all the HOB crap you can get for your tank. An HOB fuge full of water is pretty heavy.

Oh good to hear. Ok then, I'm gonna go ahead with it. But if my tank breaks, you're flying over to Thailand to help me clean.

So, I've finished putting the rock wall up. :D

Because I have very few contact points on each big rock, when I lifted the plexiglass, it bended and the rocks became loose. So I removed most of the big rocks for now and will attach them again using super glue and gorilla glue.

Will keep posted.

Thank you for all the advice.
