Ok trying to get some opinions here, I have a 29g, recently bought a 1600gph sunsun dual powerhead, bottom line it makes way to much flow. Thinking about downgrading to two 530gph pumps aimed at each other, any opinions?

what is you budget like? A mp10 would be sweet for your tank size, and you could set it for perfect flow in your tank.

An MP10 would be awesome but way out of my budget, I am pretty low on cash right now, wont be able to fork over 250 for a pump anytime soon :(

Look for in the used sections. Sometimes you can get MP10 for around 200ish area. And if you do not want wireless, those are cheaper..
But I run a MP10. I just having wires in the tank..

If I wasn't running my MP20 in my Solana, I'd be using Koralia powerheads. I used them up until the upgrade and they did the trick. Some failed in a few months, some a couple of years, some are still running after 4-5 years in other tanks in the house.

I have a biocube 29 and have two koralia powerheads (one is a nano) with my upgraded MJ return pump. I would like an mp10 or two but too $$$ (perhaps if you could pick them up used). I have heard good things about the wp25 but don't know too much about them.

Ok I got a Hydor Koralia Nano 425. It was 25 bucks on Amazon with free shipping. It has great reviews from people with nano tanks, I will ad this and see how well it does. Hopefully wont need to purchase a second one but well see.

standard glass 29g with 1 tunze 6015, 2 koralia nano's 1 240 and 425.
Single 425 probably wont be enough flow. IMO the Tunze is a much better unit for less then $10 more.

Yea I kinda figured that, I have a 240 already in the tank, its a tad old though and could probably be replaced. After i get this guy rolling ill consider also nabbing a Tunze

In my 16g Nuvo which is 24" long, I have an MP10. In my 14g Biocube, I don't have a powerhead at all. I just use the flow from the return pump.

I have a Koralia 240 in my IM nuvo 16. Want an MP10 but can't justify the price in my mind. Ha

I forgot to mention, my take on Vortechs:
If you don't have the cash to drop immediately, keep it in your plans. Once you get everything else you need for your tank, start saving and shopping in the classified section. I found it a lot easier to stomach $175 for mine than $250 for a new one, especially after I had all the other gear I needed. They're really worth it, IMO, but not necessary. I think they should be a last buy for someone budget conscious.

Sorry to report but i am sooo unhappy with my 425. There is very little power behind it.

I have a 55g FOWLR tank and I want to get the flow right. Any suggestions for what to use to accomplish this. Would this be possible with a single mp10? What are some options?

One MP10 should do the job on a FOWLR 55.

Is it worth the investment?

mp-10 on a 4 foot tank by itself is not quite enough. you could always compliment it with a koralia on the other side to help keep it circulating. I would think a 550 or 750 would be sufficient. if you have active swimmers maybe a 1050 then.

If you got the cash I think the MP's are a good buy personally.

If it were a reef tank I'd say not enough for sure, but for a FOWLR I'd say its pretty close. Have to admit though my only experience on 4ft tank is with MP40.

Tunze, Vortech, Koralia - all excellent pumps.
I have had koralias die on me but they are relatively cheap. My vortech is louder than my tunze. My tunze 6100 is an absolute tank and has ran 24/7 flawlessly for over 6 years.
