help id algae

ive been battling this type of algea for a while, not sure what it is. I don't have much info as far as water quality. (don't have test kits, I just take my water to my lfs for testing) and they always say water is good.

also if you can id the algae, ideas to get rid of it is much appreciated.

Can't really tell from picture but looks like dinoflagellates. How old is tank?

tank is about 4 months old..
