Does anyone know what I can buy that would enable me to hang my mh pendants in a canopy and be able to slide them from left to right and front to back. I need some sort of track.

Thanks,

Adam

Try drawer slides. Should be in the hardware dept of your closest home improvement store.

all four directions? yes some sort or track lighting. I can slide mine front to back, I mounted a on the bottom desk drawer slider from lowes (upside down) and mounted my lights to that.

I was able to slide my canopy using heavy duty sliding door tracks.
They're made for sliding bypass closet doors and can be found in any home center with the door hardware and parts.

For more detailed information, check out my build thread.
Here's a link to the post that discusses the sliding track system.

This will only give you one direction of travel, but hopefully it this gives you some ideas.

+1 to jlanger's set up. You can get both front and back and left to right by mounting the above system to another set of rails that run 90 degrees to the first.
