Hi All

I am planning on going on a dive with one of my technical diver friends. We will be doing a dive between 25 - 55m. What I wanted to find out is if I am down there and looking to bring up a fish, what is the best way and time to decompress him?

I have read on saltaquarium.about that depending on depth a decompression time of 6 feet every 20 minutes is acceptable.

At 60m I know its going to take ages to bring a fish up but I am more interested in fish at the 25-30m mark. Will bringing the fish up 6 feet every 20 minutes be acceptable? If not what is a suitable time and method?

Oh yes and I am NOT considering needling a fish!

Here in the US, there're several collectors in Hawaii that you could contact. I met a collector in Mauritius who collects deep water fish, but I'm blocking on his name. Good luck.

Oh I know who you are talking about. I think his name starts with a P. No problem. I will just take extra long and monitor the fish as it comes up.

Let us know how it goes. I know you've got some really nice reefs In Kwazulu Natal. Unfortunately, Tanzania is the furthest south that I've dove. Be safe.

Lol. Its like hang man. I started with the first letter and if you guess a wrong letter you get banned for 2 weeks. Give it a go.
