So I have a 65g with 20g sump. Protein Skimmer, Refugium, and Return. I have an auto top off system as well. As for my lights i have a DIY setup of 32 LEDs over the tank maybe about 6 inches above it.
I have SPS up high (birdsnest and acro) that grow like weeds. Then I have a ton of LPS that grow very well and also a clam that thrives. My issue are my zoas. For some reason they seem to just get put in the tank then a month goes by and they deteriorate into nothing.
Now I do have a TON of asterina stars so I am wondering if thats the issue. I dont think the lights could be too intense for them right? As I said, I have LPS and SPS that thrive so I dont think its anything to do with the water....any guesses?
