Hi guys, just thought I would introduce myself here. I've been keeping freshwater fish for several years, and about 5 months ago when I lost my prized Asian Arowana (BBxB) I called it quits, and sold my monster fish (p.bass, motoro rays, flag tails, and my second most prized fish, my Tigrinus cat. I also sold the 180 gallon tank as it wasn't drilled and all related equipment. I was pretty bummed and was pretty close to leaving the hobby altogether. Only thing left was the stand and canopy. Then I got thinking, why not try salt! Well I started off with finding the biggest tank I could to reuse my stand and canopy which was a 220 gallon, and everything went from there.

Here is a quick listing of my equipment:

Marineland dual corner flow 220 gallon tank
40 gallon sump
8" Super Reef Octopus Skimmer
Mag 12 return
Razor Maxspect 160 watt 16k LED x 2
Koralia 1500 x 4
Phosban 550 reactors x2 (one for carbon and one for GFO)
Kamoer Dosing Pump
240 lbs of live rock
2" aragonite sand bed
Spectrapure MPDI RO/DI 90 GPD
Tunze Osomolator 3315
Tunze Wavebox 6215
65 gallon holding tanks x 2 in the fish room (one is pure RO/DI, the other is mixed for ATO)

I have been building this tank over the last 5 months or so and this is my first time into salt so it has been a rough ride at times but things are starting to pan out now. I am mainly keeping SPS but there are some other corals in the tank as well.

Here are some photos of my tank taken a week or two ago, let me know what you guys think, and any recomendations to help me out.

I'm here to mainly learn from some of the other guys with big tanks and hopefully my tank one day will be TOTM!!!!

It looks like your off to a good start. I'm not sure I read it right, but your topping off with plain RO/DI water, right?

No problem. They'll fill out in no time. It seemed like the first 6 months after I went sps, nothing grew and everything stood still, then out of nowhere it was off to the races. You've got a nice collection going. Some of those monti caps are gonna look killer the bigger they get
