Water expiration

So my question is this: Will water expire/go bad?

We mixed a bunch of saltwater in 5 gallon buckets when we thought our growout system was going to be finished. We have had several plumbing hiccups and the water has been sitting..If it's no good, I want to get the 10 buckets out of my bathroom...

The buckets are completely sealed, but there's been no aeration in the water for a while..

I had ask the people at Instant Ocean this question a while back and they said as long as you aerate it prior to using it it is fine...so you should be good.

Not that you need it, but if it makes you feel better to get a second opinion, I agree. Give it a good 8-10 hours of aeration, maybe more, especially if it stinks when you open the buckets.
