I am going to purchase a ro/di unit and am unsure of the appropriate size for my 75g reef. I will be using it for my top off water and for my water changes. I have searched and have seen anywhere from 3 stage to 7 stage units. I was looking specifically at a 4 stage ro/di unit - for about $150. Would a 4 stage be sufficient filtering? I am not so concerned about the gal per day because i have a large storage tank so i can have it filtered and ready to go at any time.

4 stage is sufficient depending on your tap water quality. Do you know the tds of your tap? Look into the BRS or Buckeye systems. They are good quality systems. You have water storage so I would go with a 75 gallon per day unit. That should be enough for you.

I use the brs 5 stage with my 72. The 4 stage would probably be a fine choice too. 75gpd is plenty especially if you have storage capability. I use 2 32g brutes for my ato and my saltwater mixing station.

I use a BRS 4 stage 75 gpd unit as well.

I would say 4 stage is more than you need and would get it. 3 stage would work perfect too but I don't mind spending a few extra dollars for equipment that is a little more than I need

Look at the br75gpd VALUE PLUS system. Come with a pressure meter(makes it easier to tell when prefilters need changed) and a TDS meter
