48" deep dimension custom PVC bottom tank build. 211g.

A big thanks to Bill at Custom Reef Creations Moore, OK, for what I'm about to post next.

The 211g SPS/Angel reef.

In a couple weeks I should have my new tank. A Custom, PVC bottom, eurobraced, drilled, 211g work of art from Planet Aquariums. The tank will be drilled for 2 1.5” drains and 4 1” returns. Underneath that bad boy will be a steel powder coated metal stand also from Planet Aquariums. The dimensions are 48.5”x34.5”x30”.

Here is the equipment list:
45g glass sump
Reeflo Dart pump
Octopus External Skimmer DNW 150 (temp skimmer) Plan on purchasing a SRO external 5000 down the road.
2x400w Metal Halide Radiums in Luminmax Elite pendants
2x48” Blue Plus T5s
Driven by M135 Bluewave magnetic ballasts.
Oceans Motions 4 Way
Reef Keeper Elite
80lbs of BRS Pukani dry rock and 30lbs of Pukani live rock.

Tested this morning.

Treated with Lanthanium chloride, let it rest for 11 hours and i Just did a 90% water change on the rock tub.

There is no closed loop. My return pump is the reeflo dart into the OM 4 way then up through the overflow and out the top.

Update!

Custom sump has arrived. Turned out great. I love the black acrylic on the bottom back and sides....it's a real nice touch and it will match the skimmer well. Sump is from CustomReefCreations (https://customreefcreations.com/custom_design_and_installation)
Need to order 7" filter socks now...forgot that :)

New sump from Building An Obsession has arrived and I'm in the middle of installing it. This was a good time to clean everything and do some pump maintenance. Will have to make a trip to Lowes for some PVC fittings tomorrow so I can fab up a manifold to feed my skimmer and UV.

Some DIY led actinic action added.

8 royal Blue LEDs and 4 hyper violate on each 47" bar. Driven by two Meanwell dimmable drivers. These are Apex controlled, on and off and ramp up and down. The Meanwell has been set to 800mah max.

The Copper Band Butterfly. I have a small aptasia problem and I'm tired of using aptasia x. I've got a lot of lps and that stuff gets on them sometimes and irritates them.

Also, my sailfin is getting captured tomorrow (or so I hope). He's a bit aggressive and not as cool as the Chevron (or as expensive).

Ya know I couldn't tell you for sure. I may have gotten it from eBay or an electronic website. It's an outdoor electronics box. You could dump a 5g bucket on top and everything inside would be dry. I made a few small holes at the bottom to run cords out of.

The regal is doing fine at the moment. He's living inside and MP60....which I have unplugged the power cable to so I don't accidently turn it in and chop him up. He's eating so that good news.

The Chevron tang is grazing and I think I saw him nibble on some algae sheets, not sure.

Two new corals are in! Picked a couple of sweet LPS from Custom Reef Creations in Moore Oklahoma. These are insane!
