So I used my Red Sea kit for the second time and now my reading are low.
Ca= 380

Alk= 6.7 dKH

Mg= 1240

1.024 SG

8.2 PH

This will be the first time I had low readings and will have to raise the elements.

I have the BRS 2 part 1/2 gallon powder that I will have to mix in the empty jar. I have a few questions.

1) Will emptying all the powder into the supplied empty jar and mixing with RODI water have a expiration date if I do not use it all?

2) So which element do I start to dose with to raise first?

3) So do I use a small about to dose and take a reading the next day and keep a log down to find the trend?

I went on BRS calculator and came up with the following assuming total water volume is about 80 gallons minus live rock and sand.

To raise 6.7 to 9 Alk= 73 teaspoons

To raise 380 cal to 420= 5 teaspoons

To raise 1240 mag 1300 mag = 77 teaspoons

Which element do I start with first?

It doesn't really matter which you dose first between the calcium and alk, just make sure to wait like ten minutes before each dose. Dose mag whenever I believe.
