first let me introduce myself (even though I been a member for I don't know how long). My name is Julio, and I been in the hobby since I was in high school. I have had multiple reef tanks since I graduated, from a 20 gal, 30 gal, 55 gal, and the last one a 100 gal. Unfortunally, I had to downgrade from my 100 gal to a 30L. I actually just finish the plumbing, the aqua cape (over 30 lbs of live rock, maybe 50lbs and 4 inch sand bad). I have a great protein skimmer my refugum. Its probably ready for fishes sine I used some of my old water.

however here is where my question come in. I have a corallfe light HOT5 2 bulb, 39W each. Will this be good enough for LPS and SPS coral, the dimension of my tank are the following 36 1/4 x 12 5/8 x 16 3/4 , so is not that deep. I believe it should be good. however I am going to need new light bulbs in 6 months, so if the light is not good enough I would rather spend the money on a new light then the light bulbs. thanks for your help

also I am going to be looking for some coral to start up my reef (would appreciate some donation) or some cheap frags

thanks

I would uprade if I were you. I know someone who might be selling a Tek 6 bulb soon which would work good on your tank.

Agreed. Two bulbs isn't gonna be enough IMO. I would look into either buying anither two bulb set up or buying a 4 bulb unit. You might be alright for softies and some LPS but over all two bulbs isn't going to be sufficient for that tank.
