I have a 44 gallon brute trash container that I use to store RO water. after a few months of not cleaning it becomes slick on the inside? the pump , hose connected to the pump and the inside of the trash can feels like there is a base on it? almost slimy but nothing visual just feels slick? any thoughts and thank you in advance.

You could try a vinegar soak. I believe there are numerous other threads on cleaning storage containers, but I personally use vinegar.

I get a bit of brown slimy stuff on my Brute too. After a water change, I scrub it with a vinegar soaked paper towel and rinse it.

Are you asking what it is or how to clean it?

I get the slime in my RODI containers and ATOs. I always assumed it was a bacterial growth.

Ok, I'll clean it, just wondering what it was...lol

Bacteria growth, and I rarely clean mine with no ill effects to my tank.
