rather than running actinics an hour before and an hour after the daylights, could i just turn all bulbs on for the duration of the light cycle throughout the day? the only real harm i see is shocking them

Sure you can. It does spook the fish though to have lights blast on. If you have timers, i'm not sure why you wouldn't do the actinics though.

bulb arrangement. My tek has the 2 outer bulbs for the actinic but i dont want to run any true actinics I'd rather go for a crispy white with B+ and coral plus bulbs along with a purple+

I have my actinics come on 2hrs before daylights, and 2hrs after daylights. but I keep my actinics on while the daylights are on too. makes the tank look brighter and more of a vivid color on the corals..

yea i have a tank with the whole cycle but im not sure i want actinic bulbs for this tank, rather a mix between the 2 in one bulb. like the coral plus bulb and blue plus bulbs

I dont particularly like the look of actinic only so my dawn/dusk lighting is one actinic bulb and one daylight bulb. Still gives a dimmer, bluer look but its more natural looking IMO.

I use 2 b+ for my morning bulbs. My schedule is royal blue led bar for 2 hours, 2 b+ for 2 hours, all lights for 6 hours (4 b+, 1 p+, and 1 Giesseman 6700k), 2 b+ for 2 hours, led bar until around 10, for my viewing pleasure when I'm home.

would it be too blue? this bulb arrangement allows me to do a dawn/dusk. i want like a 16k crispy white.

You could just have on of the b+ and p+ come on a little earlier, you are just trying to make the transition from no light to full light a little easier. But if you are set on all coming on at the same time I would cut the light cycle down a little, because now you are going 100% light an extra 2 hours a day, you might start to see an algae blooms from the excess light.
