Kole tang injury

Hello everyone, this is the first time I have posted on rc but i have been on here learning almost everyday for the past few monthes. I started a 90g reef tank about 5 monthes ago and im really enjoying this hobby. I got a yellow eye kole tang about a week ago. He seems very happy and healthy. He started grazing in rocks as soon as i put him in and eats his share of mysis every evening at feeding time. My concern is when i came home today i noticed a hole on his right side. The best way i can describe it is it look like a splinter. There is a small hole then a swollen line going down about half inch. The only thing i can think is if somehow he got stabbed by the urchin. He is still swimming and eating fine. Hes not acting wierd in any way but I want to make sure it doesnt get infected or anything and heals up ok. Here are the only decent pics i could get

I just realized i should probably explain the second picture better. You can see his tail through the hole in the rock next to the button polyps and you can kind of see where it is swollen
