Paired goby and shrimp goby aol

After two weeks now I have finally found the shrimp but have not seen the Goby. I have been watching the hole the shrimp lives in by day and night but no goby. Should I purchase another Goby or wait a little longer? Bubba

Wait!! Patience is always key in this hobby. I recently purchased a dracula goby and pistol shrimp. I haven't seen either in almost 10 days and today I finally found out where the dracula was hiding. I don't know where the shrimp is, but I was more worried about the goby.

I also had a yasha haze goby that I thought was gone, waited almost three months before I finally found him hiding. Sadly I had a rogue Japanese pistol shrimp that killed him almost a year later.

II'm no expert, but I had a goby that pulled the same trick for a couple days. I think you should wait also.

Checking the floor is always a nice measure if you want to feel good about the fish still being in your tank.....I had a diamond watchman disappear and i didnt see it again til 2 years later when I moved and moved the tank with me. It was under the stand somehow.....

I doubt it went down the overflow - maybe still stuck in your sump?
I had a green chromis do it , but I've never seen my goby go that high.

About 2 weeks after adding mine, I though something must have happened so I tore up all the rock, and found both of them chilling in there hideout. For the next month YWG was still not seen outside the hideout. Finally, about a month later, when breaking down the tank to move everything into my new 220g, I found everyone but the YWG. Apparently, he died and the clean up buried him with Hoffa.
