Trying to hook up an x10 to my apex but cant get it to work. can anyone tell me what the 4 wires are on the control cable? the instructions on the x10 says to:
Create a cord to match the manufacturers pin-outs to the PSC04 pin-outs below.
1. Zero cross detect.
2. Zero cross common.
3. X10 Common.
4. X10 Data input from OEM
Is this a direct plug in to the apex controller?

Yes it should be a standard rj11 phone line.

It sounds like you're using a X10 interface I'm not familiar with...
The Apex can communicate with a CM11a (Computer Module), or a compatible device. You'd connect it with an ordinary straight-wired phone cable.
The signal names referenced in your post don't appear familiar to me. The CM11a or compatible will have a ground pin, data transmit (TX), data receive (RX) and one pin that is not connected.

Got the X10 up and running with my apex. works well so far. recommended not to put anything important on it but time will tell how well it works. great for hooking up other stuff to your apex like garage lights, outdoor lights. I hooked up my bedroom AC to it so I can turn it on an hour before I get home.

I have been using X10 modules on my Apex for several years now. Here is the crazy part - I ran it on my home Mac and had sporadic issues with it over the years (I remember the software being buggy, so I assumed that was why), with the Apex running my X10, it has been solid, I can't think of a time it didn't work correctly.
