I've have a Dual Reactor from BRS that I didn't use for my build and haven't had the time to sell it. My PH has been fluctuating around 7.68-7.8, and I decided dosing kalk would be a good way to mange PH and Calc needs. The tank is 4months old so isn't have a large Calc need.
Plan:
-ATO is a 30 gal tank with a Tunze Osmolator.
-run the dual reactor inline with the Tunze and fill the first chamber with appropriate amount of Lime (Mrs. Wages pickling lime).
-by nature of the reactor the water should be running up through the kalk mix and into the second chamber.
-I have an apex so if the pH gets to high I can have the Osmolator shut down.
-I'd rather not have to deal with the Osmolator pump failing frequently by just mixing kalk straight into the top-off reservoir.
Is this feasible, or am I missing some point.
