Hi,
Anyone ever hear of being able to treat ich by leaving your fish in the DT and slowly raising the temp. to 84 degrees and leaving it there for 2 weeks? I haven't. Only methods I know of are tank transfer, hypo or copper.

I think what you are saying may hold true for f/w Ich. But for s/w Ich (Cryptocaryon)... if anything, it would speed up the parasites' life cycle. Which would likely just make things worse for your fish. I think I read somewhere that if you could get your tank up to 104°F, for one hour, that would eradicate Crypto. But of course it would also kill everything else in the tank, including all the bacteria.
