I just added some pods out of a bottle I got at the LFS to my tank and have had the whole system off (minus the heater) for a few hours to let the pods get settled into the rocks etc and not sucked into the powerheads or filter. How long can I leave the system off for without issue? I was thinking overnight. It's been off for about an hour so far. Thoughts?

Is this a newly put together system & you're trying to build a 'pod' population? Sorry, but 'pods in the bottle' are really just a waste of money. If you got simply get your hands on some good established live rock, and/or some chaeto, you'll have a good population in a few months (and they will only explode exponentially).

Having the pump off in a new tank is nothing. If the tank is overstocked with fish, different scenario.

Thanks for the advice, the tank is a couple months old with a wrasse, snowflake eel and some damsels. Its a 75 gallon so by no means is it overstocked, but I am worried about lack of oxygenation. I just turned one of the powerheads back on
