I have a small room (under stairwell) on the opposite wall of my DT.
I'd like to convert it to a fishroom and looking for ideas?
Was also wondering if anyone has built a small fishroom this size before or already has one built under stairwell?

The room measures 47"Lx37"w. The back wall is 42" tall and front 80".

Here's a few pics....Help (ideas) how to build fishroom would be greatly appreciated. (maybe I would even start a thread with the build )

One thing you will need for sure is some ventilation. You may be able to get by replacing the fake louvered doors with real louvers, but an exhaust fan would be better. Will you be able to run power into the closet? How big is the DT?

Those are real wooden louvered byfold door. :) Air can certainly get in there however; I agree I do need a way to get the moist air out. I keep that one on my list.
As for power I'll have one 20amp outlet. I can put it at the very top portion of the rear wall or somewhere on the wall opposite of DT.
Oh and my DT is a 90g but I'll be getting a new DT in the fall, about the same volume. (36"x24"x24").

Overall the room should work fine. I think given the low ceiling height I would just go with a 40 gallon breeder placed on a 16" stand along the back wall. The other option would be to bring the sump right out next to the door on a 36" tall stand but that would eliminate the use of the back half of the closet. Is there any chance of getting water and a drain into the closet?

I'm looking at possibly 29g Long (30lx12wx18h) for sump/skimmer along the back on the floor. (Concrete/tile Floor) and a custom frag tank above that. (34"lx16"wx12"h).
No chance for a drain and/or water.

ThE space is captive for a 36" tank; there is no way without busting drywall to turn it in a 37" space.

I would triple think again about getting at least the 1/4" Pex from your ro plant to that space. Not having to haul water helps a whole lot.
