I love you're name and the Sabres haha but I friend requested you. First time on here. I'm thinking about getting a Nuvo 24 gallon From Buffalo Coral Reef this fall or sooner. As much as I love a Reef Creation wayy to overpriced but they have amazing corals. I use to have a 65 gallon but I took it down and sold it and now I'm looking to get back into it.

I am also interested in getting one, and to be honest it is a good build unit for the price. Not to expensive but in the middle.

Though I would not persuade to leave these forums as they are equally great, but check nano-reefs.com. They have a whole dedicated section!

I just bought mine 2 days ago and transferred everything in it from my Leemar nano. I've got the nuvo 38 which is my main and I've been obsessed with nuvo ever since. Get the 24 and don't look back. It sits in my kitchen and I love it so far!!

That looks awesome. Are you going to run a Skimmer or reactor on it?

Hentz

Probably a reactor. I'll have a mixture of SPS and LPS in there so. I think I'd invest my money on a reactor for once. I'll just keep up on water changes.

I love you're set up. I didn't even know they made a Nuvo 38. I'm going to start off with the 24. Ive spent tons of money on my first tank and I'm looking to go a litter easier with the 24. I got rid of everything I had so I have to buy everything again. Let me know how sps works in the tank. I want to so some hard corals and chalices in the tank. I'm going to go with the Skkye dual LED fixture. It looks pretty slick on the tank.

Thanks man! Yeah they've got it haha. I love it, it's a mixed reef over a Kessil 150 Ocean blue, here's a quick pic of it:

After the expense dropped on the tank, things are farely cheap after and less of a headache. Being all in one is so nice. And they look good. I've got my 24 sitting on my kitchen bar facing my kitchen and it looks so good. It's lit by a Maxspect Razor Nano. But it's hanging high from the tank so it's covering it completely. SPS has worked well so far in my 38. I've had chalices grow pretty rapidly as well as SPS and everything else. Im not sure how odd lights are. I've personally had very successful experiences with the Kessil and Maxspect Razor so far.

I have the nuvo 16. They're very stylish little tanks! I wouldn't recommend their "mini max" reactor. I have one on mine and I regret buying it. I have the media baskets on both overflows with carbon and gfo and it's more than enough.

Good luck with your decision.

That's exactly how I run mine and I have zero issues with water quality. Weekly water change And some light dosing and everything thrives.

What do you dose? Are you keeping SPS?

A Kent two part solution and I have a few pieces nothing crazy it's LPS dominant.

I'm actually surprised you're dosing if you do weekly water changes. I never understood dosing. That's probably why my tank didn't thrive along with other issues I'm sure.

It's not too complicated. Just know where your levels should be, test and understand fully whatever you're dosing does to your system.

I dose Mag and Coral Accel. I also have a bag of Clear FX in both my nuvo 38 and 24. Corals in the 38 have been growing rapidly. My nuvo 24 just began from an old tank I had running so I can't really comment on that, yet. But so far, full extension of the polyps from SPS

Agh yes, I thought I recognized it. It is a definite beautiful stand as everything is built right in!
