Hello everyone,

I'm starting this new thread for my purple haddoni that I spent the last 7 days treating with Cypro. He is now in the display tank and is doing great. Here are some pics of him this evening.

Going to try to post a video shortly of him just after feeding him which he took the food very well. He's also very sticky i may add..

Thanks everyone, what a difference the treatment made! When i first got him, he would not attach to anything and looked sick. Now, i didnt even dig anything up for his foot, he dug himself where you see him, and thats a lot of sand to dig.

That is one nice carpet. If you ever need to send him away (eat too many fish) please think of me and let me know.
You got a red, green and now a purple. You should start a thread, or post on the carpet show off thread. I love to see pictures of all your carpets.
All you need is a blue like mine, and you got all the colors.

Thats a hell of nice blue carpet! I've been looking for a blue one...maybe one will turn up one of these days at my LFS. You are the first in line if i ever need to send any away. Here is a family pic of them :

I see a 300+ gallon tank in your future. Those nems are beautiful and will be huge in no time.

How is the green one doing? Is it staying put now?

I definitely will be upgrading, maybe next year or so. The green one is doing fine and has been in the place you see him in the last pic in this thread for the past 3 weeks now, hopefully thats his final spot but i guess you never know. The other 2 have not moved at all so go figure.

Hey everyone, starting to get a bit concerned again, here is a pic of him today:

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y420/tassod/IMG_0989_zpse5c1e6fa.jpg (http://s1273.photobucket.com/user/tassod/media/IMG_0989_zpse5c1e6fa.jpg.html)

He shrunk up like this last night.....should i be concerned?

Wanted to post pics of him today. This morning before lights came on he was I would say bigger than yesterday, then i was out for most of the day and about 8 hours later i came home and he had shrunk to a very small size like this:

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y420/tassod/IMG_1002_zps1630cb90.jpg (http://s1273.photobucket.com/user/tassod/media/IMG_1002_zps1630cb90.jpg.html)

He grew a few hours later to this:

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y420/tassod/IMG_1006_zpsc3d0eb27.jpg (http://s1273.photobucket.com/user/tassod/media/IMG_1006_zpsc3d0eb27.jpg.html)

What could be bothering him? The other 2 are just fine. Here are pics of them:

At night then usually shrunk up a bit. The thing is his best looking better than yesterday, and his worst looking better than his worst yesterday. If both of the answers are yes, then you are in good shape. If only one answer is yes, then unknown. If both answer are no then you may be in trouble.

I would say that he is the same, not worse maybe a little better but definitely not worse. Hope he's ok. The only thing i can think of is sometimes my diamond goby swims by on top of him dropping sand on him and i've had to clear good chunks of it that fell into his mouth. Could some of it possibly got in there and this is why he's like this?

Glad to hear your green guy is staying put. Nothing worse than leaving home wondering where he will be when you get back.

I think your purple may still be acclimating to your tank. With consistent parameters or shall I say, consistently good parameters, I am confident your nem will be fine. I've had my purple Haddoni for a year and it deflated twice in the first six months. Now he is doing very well and seemingly getting bigger by the day.

Looking forward to watching your trio progress.

I sure hope so, he's still looking the same today, when i got home he was all shrunk up again, now he's somewhat a bit bigger but still looks like the pictures i took yesterday. Should i feed him? I've only fed him twice since he recovered but not since he's been looking like this.

.....

You got to move that Montipora or he is toasted

tassod
08/13/2013, 07:47 AM
Thanks Minh, I did notice that and I moved it this morning. Wasn't easy as it was encrusted on the rock and small part of it broke off. I guess that small part will grow on its own to form a new Monti plate but that will take some time.

OrionN
08/13/2013, 07:59 AM
That Xenia will get sting too but for Xenia, that part died off and the rest just move away. They grow so fast and it is not easy to get them off of the rock unless you can move the rock.
You, my friend, will need a bigger aquarium soon. Better think of upgrade.
For a lot of us, the cost of our animals is much more than he cost of the equipments.

well, not much change in him tonight, still looks deflated somewhat.

How long do I wait before starting to consider possibly treating him again. Not even sure if I should consider that.

xrayjeeper83
08/13/2013, 08:17 PM
From what I've read, its better to get it into QT and get it treated sooner then later. Also that what ever is stressing that one could end up stressing the other two

OrionN
08/13/2013, 11:18 PM
that looks OK. i would wait a little more and see

here's an update on him. It seems to me that he inflates during night when there are no lights and when full lights come on in the afternoon, he delfates. Here is a pic of him now with full lights on:

This is a pic before with only actinic blue lights on, this is the tightest i've seen his mouth closed:
